ABOUT USE OF THE TREATMENT-AND-PROPHYLACTIC FOOD ADDITIVE “ENERGOLAM PLUS” AT SECOND TYPE DIABETES PATIENTS

Diabetes (D) is the important risk factor of occurrence of cardiovascular diseases. In 1987 S.Wolff and co-authors were first who have shown that the basic role of diabetes in development of vascular complications is defined by nonfermentative auto-oxidative glycosylation and oxidative stress which are caused by infringements of a carbohydrate exchange.
Results of clinical researches have shown that hypolipide therapy is especially effective for preventive cardiovascular complications at patients (D). At the same time hypolipide preparations have side effects, in particular for metabolic function of a liver, and that complicates their application and causes interest to non-medicamentous hypolipide agents.
“ENERGOLAM PLUS”, biologically active food additive belongs to such type of agents. “ENERGOLAM PLUS” expresses anti-oxidizing action, reduction of a level of cholesterol, prevention of an atherosclerosis development. Taking into account anti-oxidizing and hypolipide properties of “ENERGOLAM PLUS”, its application for patients with diabetes can be considered as very reasonable non-medicamentous agent.
“ENERGOLAM PLUS” contains natural caviar of a sea-urchin dehydrated at low temperature and Kamchatka laminaria. It contains a complex of natural biologically active substances (saponins, Prostaglandinums, echinohromus, etc.), amino acids and nucleinic acids, mono-and polynonsaturated fat acids, phosphotides, vitamins (A, D, E, C, B1, B2, B12, PP) and microelements (iodine, iron, copper, cobalt, zinc, chrome, etc.).
Echinohromus stops reactions of peroxide oxidations of lipids by several ways: intercepts free radicals, chelates metals catalysts of peroxidase, inhibits enzymes of lipoxygenase, it is capable to be synergistically activated by phosphotides of plasmatic cells. Echinochromus inhibits aldoreductase, which activity serves one of the reasons of development of a cataract and set of complications at diabetes. Chrome and zinc which contain in “ENERGOLAM PLUS” raise efficiency of insulin and reduce insulinoresistance, thus promoting reduction of sugar of blood. Vitamins of group B also play the important role during a diabetes and development of its complications.
The purpose of work is to estimate influence of biologically active food additive “ENERGOLAM PLUS” on carbohydrate and lipids exchange in the structure of complex therapy at second type diabetes patients.
Material and methods of research
It is surveyed of 26 patients with second type diabetes, basically average gravity. The age of patients was in range from 59 to 71 years old, among them women – 18, men – 8. Patients of the group 1 (16 persons) received biologically active food additive (“BIO-Shelf Company”) in a doze 1 tablet in the morning on an empty stomach within 1 month. Patients accepted “ENERGOLAM PLUS” on a background of a usual diet for them and sugar-reducing therapies. The doze and duration of course of treatment “ENERGOLAM PLUS” are determined in view of recommendations of the firm — producer. 10 patients were included in the group 2 (control group). The clinical characteristic of patients is submitted in Table № 1. These groups were comparable under the basic clinical characteristics.
The clinical characteristic of patients
All patients were carried out general clinical inspection (the common analysis of blood and urine, biochemistry of blood, roentgen bodies of a chest cage, ECG monitoring, ultrasonic research of bodies of a belly cavity and a small basin, kidneys), definition glycemia on an empty stomach, glycaned hemoglobin, lipids a spectrum (cholesterol, triglycerides, etc.) before and after treatment.
Results of research
At patients of the group 1 reduction of a level glycemia on an empty stomach on 10, 1% and glycaned hemoglobin on 9, 2% was registered. Reception “ENERGOLAM PLUS” has also resulted in improvement of parameters lipids a spectrum. So the level of the general cholesterol has decreased on 9, 3%, triglycerides — on 30, 8%, LDL (low-density lipoproteins) — on 21, 6 %, thus level HDL (high-density lipoproteins) has increased on 27, 7 %. Among patients of the group 2 essential distinctions in parameters carbohydrate and lipids exchange after one month of supervision was not revealed (Table № 2).

During “ENERGOLAM PLUS” therapy side-effects have been registered at nobody.
Using of the food additive “ENERGOLAM PLUS” in complex treatment of diabetes brings the improvement of parameters of carbohydrate and lipids exchange and is not accompanied by side-effects. So reduction of a level glycemia on an empty stomach and glycohemoglobin was marked after a monthly course of daily reception of 1 tablet “ENERGOLAM PLUS”. Also it was marked at structure lipids, especially triglycerides. Thus, the received data allows recommending “ENERGOLAM PLUS” for correction hyperglycemia and dyslipide in structure of complex therapy for second type diabetes patients.
